Carl F. Williams

Carl F. Williams, age 84, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Albany Health and Rehab after almost 2 years of residency. He was born in Slat, Kentucky to Alfred L. WIlliams and Edna M. Crabtree. Carl had lived in Indianapolis and Yorktown before settling down and spending most of his life in Muncie. Carl had become disabled in his younger years, and worked a few odd jobs in his life as a truck driver, landscaper, and owned a car lot for some time. He liked to travel and was always looking for a new adventure. Carl was a member of the Eagles Lodge #231 in his earlier days.

Survivors include one son, Greg Hawkins (wife Amie) of Muncie; four daughters, Jennifer Gillespie of Muncie, Brenda Ewing (husband Allen) of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Patty Epperson (husband Jeff) of Chatsworth, Georgia, and Elizabeth Murphy (husband Christopher Wilson) of Winchester; two brothers, Reid Williams and George Williams of Indianapolis; three step-children, Donna Atkins (husband Rich), Rick Case, and Danny Case; along with several grandkids and great-grandkids.

Carl was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Williams; son, Rick Williams; his parents, Alfred L. WIlliams and Edna Crabtree; four brothers, Bill, Jim, Rodger, and Paul Williams; five sisters, Roxanne, Mary, Elaine, Mickey, and Sue; and one grandson, Christopher Allen Threet.

There will be a private memorial scheduled at a later date by family.
