Dorothy Patricia (Parsler) Kseniak, lovingly known as “Dot” or “Dotty,” passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025, at the age of 89. She was born on December 17, 1935, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and spent most of her adult life in Muncie, Indiana, alongside her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Edward “Eddie” or “Lefty” Kseniak.
Dot was preceded in death by her wonderful parents, Frances and John Parsler, her cherished husband Ed, her dear sister Maryann and devoted brother-in law Ray Brown, her precious daughter Kim Marie Erhart, her much-loved son-in-law Dennis Erhart and her kind sister-in-law Bernice Parsler. She is survived by her loyal brother Joe Parsler and her loving children Patricia (Rob) Parsons, Michael (Cindy) Kseniak, and Maryann (Rick) Stanley, who remained by her side with unwavering love, care, and laughter throughout her final months.
Family was the center of Dot’s world. Affectionately known as “Nan,” she was treasured by her grandchildren Nicholas (Casey) Erhart, Andrew, Anna, David (Val), and Grace Parsons; Abby (Joe) Warstler, Lou (Kelly) Stanley, and Stewart (Dinna) Stanley; Michael and Luke Kseniak; as well as her great-grandchildren Brayden, Kimmie, and Kane Erhart (Nick and Casey); Nicolas "Nico" Stanley (Stu and Dinna), Frances "Frankie" Warstler (Abby and Joe) and baby boy Parsons (David and Val) who are both on the way. Nan’s pride and joy came from being present in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating countless memories that will be cherished forever.
Dot also dedicated much of her life to serving others. She was a proud past president of the St. Mary’s (Muncie, IN) Women’s Association, volunteered for 15 years at a local soup kitchen, delivered Meals on Wheels to those in need, and offered her time at Ball Memorial Hospital, ensuring patients had access to books and videos. Professionally, she worked for many years as a secretary to the principal and nurse’s aide at Yorktown High School, where she loved being close to her children and their friends, sharing her motherly warmth, her clever wit and humor to countless students.
Her deep Catholic faith was the foundation of her life. She was an active member of both St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Muncie, IN, and Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, Fishers, IN. Dot loved the Lord, her family, and the Jersey Shore, which always held a special place in her heart.
Dot’s generous heart, unwavering faith, and love for her family were the cornerstones of her life. Her humor could light up a room, making everyone feel embraced and valued. A gifted storyteller, she delighted in sharing family tales—funny, beloved and unforgettable—that will be treasured for generations.
