Idamae "Kibby" Johnson

She was born Friday, June 18, 1926, the daughter of Verle and Bessie Dovey, in Anderson, Indiana.

Kibby retired from Delco-Remy Division of General Motors where she had worked in the accounting department.

She was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church and also, was an active member of Silver Sneakers at the downtown Muncie YMCA and volunteered at the Muncie Mission.

Kibby loved her family, friends, and especially the Lord Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her children, Nancy (Pat) Hill, Atlanta, Georgia, Julie (Terry) Moffitt, Muncie, Indiana, Karl (Sharon) Johnson, Ft. Myers, Florida, and Beth (Steve) Stubblefield, Troy, Alabama; grandchildren, Leaha (Jason) Rice, Atlanta, Georgia, Stefanie (Rick) Steigerwalt, Muncie, Indiana, Robert (Jennifer) Hill, Atlanta, Georgia, Matthew Allen, Indianapolis, Indiana, Barry (Julia) Moffitt, Carmel, Indiana, Jennifer (Matt) Harre, Carbondale, Illinois, Corey (Angela) Johnson, Ft. Myers, Florida, Kris (Amy) Stubblefield; great-grandchildren, Logan and Colton Allen, Maia and Brock Steigerwalt, Shelby, Andrew, and Samantha Rice, Kinsey, Kayla, and Hunter Williams, and Emily Brown, Rylann and Cole Moffitt, Camryn and Jack Harre, Caroline and Hannah Stubblefield; nieces, Donna Stafford, Karen Harry, and Sue Gomba; nephew, Ross Dovey.

Kibby is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Yunker and John Johnson; brothers, Norman Dovey and Paul Dovey; sister, Kathryn Carpenter.

Services will be Monday, November 6, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Josh Arthur officiating.

Visitation will be at Elm Ridge Funeral Home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Burial will immediately follow the service at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, Indiana.
