Jeffrey Smart

Muncie- Jeffrey Scott Smart, 47 went home to be with the Lord on Sunday March 13, 2016 from complications of a recent illness at Providence in Anderson. He was born on October 5, 1968 to Vicki (Smart) Friend at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He attended Muncie Community Schools.

He married Cynthia (Nikki) Downs in November 1999 in New Castle, IN.

He is survived by his mother Vicki (Muncie); his wife Cynthia Smart (New Castle); 7 children, 4 sons Jeffrey Smart Jr and Jack Hester (Iowa), Curtis and Gregory Smart-Huxley (Muncie), 3 daughters Jayme Smart (Iowa), Shianne Downs (New Castle) and Audrey Smart-Huxley (Muncie); his grandmother Audrey Smart (Muncie); his sister Joyce Kreps (husband Jeremy-Muncie); three grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Ernest Smart I; his uncle Ernest Smart II; and his father-in-law Curtis Downs.

There will be graveside services at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave on Friday March 18, 2016 at 2pm.
