Judy A. Reed

She was born Tuesday, September 17, 1946, in Compton, Kentucky, the daughter of John Lee and Lillie Mae (Penix) Taulbee. Judy moved to Muncie as a child. She graduated from Muncie Central High School. Judy was a cosmetologist for fifty-three years and worked in many salons over the years until opening her own salon in the 1980's. Judy enjoyed life to the fullest and went camping, fishing, gardening, and of course, flea-marketing. But most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her family, and her animals. Judy was known throughout the community for her kindness, generosity, and helping others.

Survivors include her husband, Lendol Reed; her two daughters, Andrea (husband John L. IV) Neal, and Amber (husband John Jr.) Patton; three granddaughters, Mahayla (husband Eric) Hershman, Paige Neal, and Lillie Neal; grandson, Braxton Patton; great-grandson, Harrison Wyatt Hershman; and great-grandbaby Hershman due in August of 2018; brother, Ronald L. (wife Pam) Taulbee; niece and nephew, Tammy and John Taulbee; several aunts and uncles; her best fiends, Dean King, Carol Taylor and Zelophia Surgener.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lillie Taulbee and a great-nephew, Jacob Brooks.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
