She was a woman of remarkable intelligence, quiet strength, and genuine warmth. Hardworking and well spoken, she carried herself with grace while never losing her wonderful sense of humor. She was kind and deeply caring, the sort of person who noticed others, listened fully, and made people feel valued simply by being herself.
Creative and crafty, Karen found joy in making things with her hands and beauty out of the everyday. She was also tons of fun—quick to laugh, playful in spirit, and always ready to share a smile or a witty remark. Her humor and loving nature brought light to every room she entered.
Music was one of her great passions. She was a lovely singer, and her voice—whether raised in song or conversation—was something many will forever cherish. She also had a deep love for animals, history, and learning, reflecting her curious mind and compassionate heart.
She held a special affection for her home state of Michigan, appreciating its history, seasons, and sense of place. Above all, she loved her family fiercely and wholeheartedly. Her devotion, encouragement, and love formed a foundation that will continue to be felt for generations.
Her life was one of purpose, creativity, laughter, and love. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy lives on in the memories she created, the music she shared, and the many lives she touched.
