Larry L Stonebraker

He was born April 29, 1936, in Blountsville, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Mary (Lacy) Stonebraker. Larry was a 1954 Center High School graduate, awarded the O.W. Storer Scholarship the same year. He then graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. After graduation, he went to work for the Ball Brothers Corporation, the National Cash Register, and then retired from Baystone Construction in 1994. Larry was also a member of the Army Reserves for six years. Following retirement, he became more interested in real estate with his wife, Janet, and together they bought and sold properties in Muncie, Ohio, and Florida. Later in life, they moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida, to be closer to family.

Larry was active with Masonic Lodge No. 229, Whitney Lodge in New Burlington, Indiana, and the Shriners. He was also an avid golfer at Elks Lodge No. 245 for many years. He attended the United Methodist Church in Gulf Breeze, Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Janet Stonebraker of Gulf Breeze, FL; one son, Scott Stonebraker (wife, Kristen) of Gulf Breeze, FL; two grandsons, Jaylin Coulter and Alec Stonebraker of Gulf Breeze, FL; one sister, Jackie Rodenberger (husband, Bob) of Muncie, IN; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in passing by his brothers, Harold Stonebraker (wife, Bev) and Darrel Stonebraker (wife, Fran); and three brothers-in-law.
