Lee E. True

He was born Wednesday, July 24, 1929, in Muncie, the son of Lloyd and Lillian (Davis) True. Lee grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1947. He married the love of his life, Phyllis and celebrated seventy years together until her death in 2018. Lee worked for General Motors for forty years as a cutter grinder. He retired in 1992. He enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and taught line dancing for four years. Lee was a member of Fountain Square Church and enjoyed many wonderful times there.

Lee is survived by his daughter, Teresa (husband, John) Gregory; sister, Elaine (husband, Tom) McVicker; brothers, Ronnie True, and Terry (wife, Sharon) True; grandson, David Alexander True; and a sister-in-law, Nancy (husband, David) Meyer.

His wife, Phyllis (Qualkinbush) True, and his son, David True, preceded Lee in death.

Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304 with Pastor Steve Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
