Lois J. Cross

Lois J. Cross, 76, Muncie, went to Heaven to be with her loving husband of fifty-four years, Frederick Laury Cross on Wednesday evening, February 7, 2018, in her home.

She was born December 14, 1941, in Strunk, Kentucky, the daughter of Alfred King Sr. and Marie (Reed) King. Her family was very special to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. She loved watching her grandchildren in all of their sporting activities. Lois liked watching sports on TV, was an avid basketball fan, enjoyed going to the lakes and boating.

Survivors include son, Franklin (wife Christina) Cross and children, Danielle, Jonathan, Carter, Casen and Anna; son, John (wife Jackie) Cross and their children, Glissen and Kearstin; son, Fred (wife Valerie) Cross and their children, Freddy, Morgan and Jesse; son, Brian (wife Michele) Cross and their children, Nathan, and Mackenzie; daughter, Amy (husband Larry) Hess and their children, Patrick, Amanda, Hope and Marcus; daughter, Morgan Cross; son, Jesse James Cross; six great-grandchildren, Alexia, Alivia, David, Zoey, Kollin, and Kendall; three brothers, Denver King, Eugene King and Lendol (wife Judy) Reed; one sister, Wanda (husband Jesse) Rhodes; sister-in-law, Florence (husband Harry) McCord and their children, Thomas and Richard; sister-in-law, Fonda King; several special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert King, Alfred King Jr., and Hurstel King; and three sisters, Shirley Winn, Laura Wilson, and Joyce Harris.

Services will be held 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. Following entombment there will be a gathering of family and friends for a meal in the Elm Ridge Funeral Home Community Room.
