Luke Whitcomb

Luke attended Muncie Central High School and was a lifelong member of Industry United Methodist Church. He retired from Chevrolet as a pipefitter and served as past secretary of Local 499 UAW Union. Luke was also a member of the Muncie Masonic Lodge where he achieved 32nd Degree Freemasonry and served as vice president of the snowmobile association. He was a dedicated Shriner and twice served as President of the Muncie Murpah Shrine Club. Luke also contributed to the community as a past reserve police officer with the Muncie Police Department.

Luke enjoyed traveling to Florida with his spouse and attending auto races. His other passions included spending time with his family, volunteering within the church and local community, and working out at the YMCA.

Luke is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Donna; stepdaughter, Kyanna Johnson; stepson, Kurt Noel; grandchildren, Leslie McWhirt, Amanda Hicks, and Jama Baker; and several nephews, nieces, and step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in passing by his parents; sister, Christine Whitcomb; brother, Pete Whitcomb; daughter, Brenda Baker; son, Timothy Whitcomb; and stepson, Eric Noel.

Although Luke is gone, he will live in our hearts forever.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Elm Ridge Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304. Family and friends may gather from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Monday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
