Malcolm Edward Johnson

He was born Thursday, May 26, 1977, in Muncie, the son of Malcolm Perdue and Frances Johnson. Malcolm was a great dad, husband and provider. He loved spending time with his family and had a great sense of humor. Malcolm enjoyed camping, fishing, and was a lover of nature. Some other hobbies and interests were listening to music, playing ping-pong, wood burning, and painting. Malcolm was a member of Painter and Allied Trades Local #669.

Survivors include his wife and soul mate, Summer C. (Brown) Johnson; mother, Frances (husband, Jerry) Ylovchan; sons, Braxton Johnson, Brett Johnson, and Matthew (fiancé, Hannah) Nichols; brother, Mark (wife, Lynn) Johnson; sisters, Eva Bennett, and Renae Perdue; granddaughter, Callie Nichols; uncles, Donald Johnson Jr., and Randy Johnson, nieces and nephews, Miranda, Amanda, Adrianna, Aubree, Athan, Alijah, Caiden, Kaylee, Kambree, K’lijiah, and K’dashia; and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

His father, Malcolm Perdue; grandparents, Mildred and Don Johnson; aunt, Sherry Lee; and a nephew, Kyler Musick, preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, 2023 at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Rev. Dr. Rusty Clements officiating.

Elm Ridge Funeral Home has been entrusted with his services.
