Margaret A Hardwick

She was born Wednesday, January 24, 1951, in Muncie, the daughter of Alfred and Anna (Messer) Conway. Margaret loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and baking for them, especially her grandkids. Margaret enjoyed traveling and her yearly vacations in Myrtle Beach. She worked as a seamstress at Cintas for over twenty-six years and retired in 2011. Margaret was a very active breast cancer advocate.

Survivors include her mother, Anna Conway; daughters, Laurie (husband, Bart) Washington, and Tammy (husband, Ryan) Kreider; sisters, Naomi Kirby, and Hilda Chadd; grandchildren, Carrie (husband, Gary) Baker, Steven Batt, and Catie Reel; great grandchildren, Haylei Baker, Ashlee Baker, Emeline Baker, Adeline Baker, Madeline Baker, Ary Bowman, and Paxton Duncan; several nieces and nephews.

Her father, Alfred Conway; husband, Michael Hardwick; brother, Johnny Messer; and a sister, Evelyn Johnson, preceded her in death.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Rick Monroe officiating. Private entombment will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
