Marion was born May 17, 1937 in Muncie, IN, the son of Marion Sr. and Virginia (Smith) Shockley.
In his free time, Marion enjoyed fishing as well as going to flea markets and auctions. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family whether it was hanging out with his siblings or spending time with his many beloved grandkids. On Thursdays, Marion and his brothers would go to Hunnicutts in Muncie for their weekly banana boats.
He is survived by his four children, Diana Shockley, Calvin Shockley, Joe (Paula) Shockley, and Tim (Pam); siblings, Mike Shockley, Pat Shockley, Doris Thomas and Barbara Evans; eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Marion was preceded in passing by his parents, Marion Sr. and Virginia; his wife, Thelma Shockley; seven siblings; and a step-son, Mike McAllister.
A graveside service with military honors will be 1:00 PM, Friday, May 2, 2025 at Elm Ridge Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304.
