Mark Kimbrough

Well done good and faithful servant…. Mark Richard Kimbrough, 61, Muncie, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024, with family at his side while at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born Tuesday, June 19, 1962, in Niles, Michigan, the son of Homer and Barb Kimbrough. Mark was a humble and caring man. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had been a member of the Blue Knights and enjoyed riding his Harley. He also liked being outdoors and going camping. Mark was an avid NASCAR fan and his favorite driver was #8, Kyle Busch. He worked at Townsend Corp. for over twenty-five years and was vice president of Safety/Training. Mark was an active member of the University Christian Church where he was an Elder. Survivors include his wife, Misty Ann (Smiley) Kimbrough, (they were married on April 12, 2008); sons, Josh (wife, Amy) Kimbrough, and Andrew (wife, Laura) Kimbrough; daughter, Keri (husband, Tommy) Knisley; brother, Ron (wife, Sherry) Kimbrough; half-sister, Sue Geer; grandchildren, Riley Kimbrough, Mason Kimbrough, Ashlynn Kimbrough, Griffin Kimbrough, Colton Kimbrough, and Shane Knisley; his canine companion, Bella; and his feline companion, Smokey. His parents, Homer and Barb Kimbrough; half-brothers, Kenneth Ray, and James Ray; and a half-sister, Norma Jean Purucker, preceded him in death. Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Steve Huddleston officiating. Private entombment will be in Elm Ridge Memorial Park Mausoleum. Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
