Mary L Holland

Mary Lou Holland, 86, Muncie, passed away Friday afternoon, May 10, 2024, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born Friday, April 29, 1938, in Muncie, the daughter of Will E. and Rhoda Janette (George) White. Mary graduated from Royerton High School in 1956. She enjoyed her monthly lunches with her high school classmates. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to the Comic-Con with her great-grandchildren. Mary worked as a programmer at WLBC for forty years and retired in 1996. Survivors include her husband, Richard E. Holland; children, Richard Michael (wife, Danielle) Holland, Jimmie Lee Holland, Sandra Jane Lakin, Mildred Fay Lindsay, and Mary Christine Holland Prickett; brother, Michael L. (wife, Peggy) White; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one niece; two grandnieces; and one grandnephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Will E. and Rhoda Janette White; and one nephew. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2024, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Pastor Ben Lang officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
