Mary Joan (Templin) Miller

She was born on January 18, 1929, to LeRoy and Sarah Templin. She graduated from Muncie Central High School (1947). She married Arlo Wayne Miller in 1958.

She served Jesus faithfully, primarily by living a godly example as a wife and mother of four. She loved music and served her church family as pianist for many years. Upon retirement, she and her husband volunteered at local nursing homes, leading worship services for the residents.

She was known as a kind, generous and humble woman who always put the needs of others ahead of her own.

She is preceded in death by her parents, five siblings and her husband. She is survived by a sister, Carol Sue Templin (Muncie); her sons, David Miller (wife Debra), South Carolina; Mark Miller (wife Dawn), Yorktown; Phil Miller (wife Susan), Muncie; daughter, Sherri Beaty (husband Paul, deceased), Muncie; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 1 pm, on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 W. Kilgore Ave., Muncie, IN 47304. Burial will follow Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie. Friends may visit with the family from 12 pm until the time of the service, on Monday, at the funeral home.
