Obituary:
Blanche Fugate was born in Jackson County Kentucky, June 26, 1928, to the late Green and Bettie (Daugherty) Abrams. She graduated from McKee High School and Butler Business College. On September 30, 1950 she married Hager Fugate in Liberty, Indiana and they enjoyed over 63 wonderful years of marriage. Blanche was an active member of the BridgeWater Church for over 60 years. She was a member of the Sanctuary Choir for many years and a lifetime member of Women of the Church of God. Blanche served on the Board of Christian Education as Sunday School Superintendent, on the Advisory Council, Benevolence Committee and Finance Committee, and as a teacher of children, which was her first love. She enjoyed spending weekends in Gatlinburg with family and special friends. She especially enjoyed family reunions and spending winters in her Florida home as long as her health permitted. She was employed by Champion International Paper as a sales service representative at both the Knightsbridge and the Cincinnati offices for 42 years, retiring in 1990. Blanche is survived by her husband Hager Fugate, a sister Thelma (Roy) Setser; nieces Becky (Eric) Glazier, Pamela (Bob) Frost, Brenda (Kenny) Davidson, Gerri (Bill) Stout, Dianne (George) Browning, Rene Gabbard, Anna Sue Taylor, Phyllis (Gene) Smith, Karen Fugate, Arista Fugate, and Phyllis Williams; great nieces Tara Schiff, Carrie Gerber, and Elizabeth Frost, and special great niece Emma Glazier; nephews Larry (Ruby) Setser, Guy (Judy) Neeley, Paul Abrams, Doyle Abrams, Mike Fugate, and special great nephews Benjamin "Ben" Glazier and Gaige Fugate. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Leonard (Irene) Abrams; sisters Sally Belle (Ernie) Davidson, Gladys (Woodson) Neeley, Gerri (Eddie) Arnold; brother in law Howard (June) Fugate; sister in law Berta (Belve) Gabbard; niece Kay (Carl) Smith, and nephews David (Carrie) Setser and Richard Merle "Dicky" Fugate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions would be appreciated to Children's Ministries at BridgeWater Church. The family wishes to thank Dr. Harry Davin, the wonderful caregivers and administration at Woodlands of Hamilton, and to Hospice of Southwest Ohio for their untiring love and care. www.websterfuneralhomes.com
