Michael W. Winkle

Muncie-Michael W. Winkle, 51, passed away Thursday, November 29, 2018, at the home of his sister. He was born on Monday, July 17, 1967, the son of Michael T. and Anne (Williamson) Winkle, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Michael retired from the City of Muncie, having worked for the Sanitary District. He was a member of the NRA, loved to fish, sports, but most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by his father, Michael T. Winkle (fiance’ Marilyn); sons, Michael C. Winkle and Kyle D. Winkle; daughters, Courtney (Jon) Wuest and Shaelynn Bright; brother, Todd (Suzanne) Moore; sisters, Hollie (Chris) Crowley and Kim (Rick) Bodnar; ten grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Michael is preceded in death by his mother, and his brother, Chad. A memorial service celebrating the life of Michael will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304 with Tim Taylor officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Burial of ashes will take place immediately following the service at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
