

Norma (Bogue) Kennedy Watson, born August 16, 1932, in Windfall, Indiana to Francis Bogue and Afton (Tennell) Bogue, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025. She grew up in the Gaston area and graduated from Van Buren High School and Fort Wayne Business School in 1950.
She married Marvin Lee Kennedy on September 29, 1950. They had 2 sons, Gregory Lee Kennedy and Jeffery Allen Kennedy, both of Muncie, Indiana. The family spent many years in the Gaston area attending athletic events and horse shows.
Marvin passed away on May 11, 1991, after 40 years of marriage.
Norma retired in May of 1995 after over 43 years in the accounting department at Borg Warner Corp.
On August 10, 1996, Norma married co-worker, Wendell D. Watson. Together, they enjoyed 14 years of marriage, traveling and remodeling their home. They were both involved in the founding of Living Hope Church in Gaston.
Wendell passed away on July 3, 2010.
In her free time, Norma enjoyed going to her grandchildren’s events, gardening, card clubs, doing crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader.
In 2022, Norma sold her home of 61 years in Gaston and moved to Westminster Village in Muncie.
She is survived by her sons, Gregory Kennedy and Jeffery Kennedy; grandchildren, Heather Coe, Gregory Kennedy Jr., Alicia Kennedy and Derek Kennedy Jr.; 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Norma is also survived by stepchildren, Chuck (Mary) Watson of Red Banks, NJ, Marla (Doug) Perdue of Noblesville, IN, Curt (Linda) Watson of Carmel, and Anni (Gary) Carter of Noblesville, IN. Step-grandchildren, Angie (Jason) Hoffman, Emily (Kevin) Keller, Kelen Perdue, Shaun Watson, Graham (Maria) Watson, Cameron (Sara) Carter, Ryan (Mackenzie) Carter, Aaron (Tiffany) Carter; 9 step great-grandchildren; step-brother, Larry Shaw, and many nieces and nephews along with their parents.
Norma was preceded in passing by an infant daughter Victoria Lynn Kennedy; husbands, Marvin Kennedy and Wendell Watson; and her parents, Seb and Afton Shaw.
She will be remembered lovingly by her children and grandchildren for her homemade chicken/noodles and cookies.
Family and friends may gather from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana, 47304. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Elm Ridge Funeral Home.
