Rosa Lee was born Tuesday, October 20, 1936, the daughter of Cartha and Hazel (Manis) Wright. Her life revolved around her family and church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially dinner after church every Sunday with grandkids, great-grandkids, and anyone else who wanted to come. Rosa Lee was an active, faithful member of the Memorial Drive Wesleyan Church for over sixty-one years. She was a prayer warrior in the Women’s Prayer Group, head of the Prayer Line for many years and was the church treasurer for over thirty years. Rosa Lee enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the family cabin in Tennessee where she shared countless memories with family, friends, and loved ones. Rosie loved spending time outdoors with her husband admiring the beauty of the flowers and birds in their backyard. She also enjoyed hosting get togethers for family and church at their home. She was known as the “baby whisperer” as she could soothe any baby she ever encountered and was the very best “Mamaw” to all of her grandchildren.
