Nécrologie de Ruth Estella Drown
Ruth E (Beard) Drown graduated from this life to her eternal reward Tuesday, September 14, 2021. She was born July 24, 1938, in Muncie, Indiana, to Russell and Mary (Gifford) Beard. Ruth was a 1957 graduate of Muncie Central High School and a proud Bearcat fan and an avid Pizza King lover. Ruth married her first and only love at the age of nineteen. Together they had eight children, twenty grandchildren, and twenty-nine great grandchildren. She spent the majority of her married life devoted to traveling and pastoring with her husband of sixty-one years, spreading the Gospel, and raising their children. The meaning behind the name Ruth is “friend” and she truly embodied this every day of her life. Always quick to listen and offer a helping hand, Ruth never hesitated to be there for those in need. She radiated with joy and would light up any room that she stepped into. Ruth was known for her sense of style; she had an outfit for every occasion. Her love for the Lord Jesus Christ and commitment to Biblical studies and family were her ultimate priorities. Ruth lived her life fulfilling the calling of a virtuous woman and while her family and friends miss her dearly, they find comfort in knowing that she is home with the Lord. She is survived by one brother, Daniel Beard (Carolyn); her sons, Nathan (Aurea), James (Sharon), and Ronald J; her daughters, Grace Drown, Martha Grass, and Mary Blades (Larry); her grandchildren, Melissa Hammond (Ryan), Brittany Schmidt (Michael), Natasha Grass, Nathan Grass (Debie), Chantel Grass, Pipere Lebo (Nick), Brent Edwards, Joshua Drown (Shanelle), Jacob Drown (Hannah), Jeshua Drown, Jonathan Drown, Josiah Drown, Ana Grasso (Michael), Mara Drown, Olivia Drown, Whitney Morgan, Lauren Morgan, Zachary Blades, and Chad Blades; as well as a host of beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L Drown; two sons, Jonathan David and John Mark Drown (Laurie); her grandson, Derek; her parents; her brothers, Russell Beard, Kenneth Beard (Mary), and Eugene Beard (Judy) and her sister, Marilyn Stellwag (Gordon).
