Ruth Estell Williams

She was born Thursday, July 24, 1924, the daughter of the late Reece Bilbrey and Lillie Bilbrey. She married the love of her life, Carl Williams. Ruth loved to work in the yard, quilt by hand, and baking. She was famous for her bourbon balls.

Survivors include her daughter, Cathy (Doyne) Hahn; a son, Rick (Teri) Williams; two sisters, Blanche Higgenbotham and Rita Garrett; a sister-in-law, Joann Bilbrey; grandchildren, Timothy (Connie) Hahn, Bridget (Joshua) Cole, Sarah (Nelson) Suarez, and Brad McAlister; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Williams; parents, Reece Bilbrey and Lillie Bilbrey; brothers, Oren Bilbrey, Ray Bilbrey, Mossie Bilbrey, Major Bilbrey, Herman Bilbrey, Ralph Bilbrey, Glen Dale Bilbrey, and Robert Bilbrey; a sister, Alice Peterac; and sister-in-law, Jean Bilbrey.

Family and friends may call from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Elm Ridge Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 3:30 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, masks and social distancing are required.
