Sandy was born November 18, 1943, in Anderson, Indiana to the late Robert S Brattain and Lola B. Brattain.
She was a 1961 graduate of Anderson High School and later received her teaching degree from Ball State University.
She later taught at Muncie Central High School and married Daniel E. Rawlings in 1966. After her sons were in school, she was a substitute teacher at St. Lawrence Elementary.
She enjoyed traveling and going to concerts with friends, and spending time with her family.
Sandy is survived by her two sons, Jason Rawlings (wife, Michele) and Jeff Rawlings (partner, Wendy) and five grandchildren, Ashley (husband, Jake) and Miles Mitchell (partner, Haley), and Seth (fiancée Emily), Zachary (partner, Mady), and Emily Rawlings, and one great grandson, Hudson, all of Muncie.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Dan Rawlings in 2012. They had been married for 46 years.
