Leonard E. Gipson, age 58 of Hamilton, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016. He was born in Hamilton on November 17, 1957 to Harry and JoAnn (Bunger) Gipson. On May 3, 1980 in Hamilton he married Taryn Rice. Leonard was retired from General Electric after 35 years. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing the guitar. Leonard loved to spend time with his grandson, Micah, cutting the grass together, playing guitar together, and taking trips together.

He is survived by his wife, Taryn Gipson; daughter, Melissa (Thomas) Hayes; the light of his life, his grandson, Micah Hayes; a brother, Harry (Teresa) Gipson; sister, Kim (Ed) Hyatt; his special dog, Lilly; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ann Gipson; and his parents.

Funeral service will be held at Lindenwald Baptist Church, 460 Symmes Rd., on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Tyler Green officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to The National Kidney Foundation in his honor.
