Teresa “Teri” Ann (Trowbridge) Brown, 74, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare in Muncie. Born on Friday, September 22, 1950, Teri was a daughter to the late Warren and Bitha (Sheller) Trowbridge.
After graduating from Muncie Central High School, Teri attended Amber’s Beauty College to become a beautician and opened her own shop in the village of Ball State University’s campus, and later on, working for Talk of the Town. Alongside her work as a beautician, she also bartended at Amvets Post #12 (2000-2007), Buttonhole Bar, and the Pony Keg, often styling hair from home as well.
Teri was a member of the Amvets Post #12 Auxiliary and had a lifelong passion for horses, gardening, and games of chance—from scratch-off tickets to wagering on horse races like the Kentucky Derby.
She cherished family vacations with her three children to Myrtle Beach and the Smoky Mountains, and made frequent visits to Soperton, Georgia, where she and her children spent three years living near her twin brothers. In later years, she continued visiting the Smokies with her beloved husband, Michael.
Teri is survived by her husband, Michael Brown; three children, Harmony (Rick) Mann, Honesty (Andy) Saxon, and Jessy (Britney) Mann; grandchildren, Javan Johnson, Jayla Thompson, El (Zoe) Saxon, Jayce Holford, and Gabriella Mann; sister, Diana Lear; a brother, Brian (Angie) Manring of Soperton, Georgia; and life long friend and father to her children, Phil Mann.
In addition to both of her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Becky Greene; brothers, Shawn Manring, and George Harden; and her two cherished dogs, Jake and Boss.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date by the family. Condolences and words of encouragement to the family can be made at www.elmridgefuneralhome.com.
