Tommie E Watkins

Muncie- Reverend Tommie E. Watkins, age 79 was born to Beverage L. Watkins and Goldie (Miller) Swan March 21, 1937 in Muncie. Tommie enjoyed working with wood, and was also a collector of the Nickel Plate train set. Tommie was a member of Westside Full Gospel Tabernacle. Tommie was preceded in death by his parents; son Tommie E. Watkins Jr; brothers David E. Watkins, Russell L. Watkins; sisters Florence Feuston, Catherine A. Truax, and Beverly Crabtree. Tommie was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather; he is survived by his wife Bonnie M. Watkins (Zeigler), who he married May 17, 1971, his children, Brian L. Watkins, Russell A. Watkins, and Samantha M. Timmons. 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; 2 special grandsons Skylar Timmons and Andy Johnson; Brothers Dallas R. Watkins, Keith Swan Jr, Dennis Swan, and Charles Webb; sister Virginia Wilkin. Funeral services to celebrate the life of Tommie will be Friday, November 4, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Elm Ridge Funeral Home. Visitation for the friends will be Friday, November 4, 2016 from 12:00 pm till the service. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge Memorial Park.
