Barney Floyd Stanfield, age 81, passed away on August 21, 2020 at St. Thomas Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Lexington, Kentucky to Charles and Lucy Stanfield. Barney served in the United States Air Force in the 1960’s, then graduated from Central Kentucky Area Vocational School in the study of Electronics while starting his career in the U.S. Postal Service. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 36 years as the Division Director of Maintenance in Nashville, Tennessee. He helped raise four children, Robert Hager, Debbie Schlarb (Hager), Troy Stanfield, and Sean Stanfield. Barney was a great father, and friend to many who will be forever missed.
