Evelyn Walden

Evelyn Gladys Walden, of Spring Hill, Tennessee, formerly of Smyrna, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2022 at Goldton Memory Unit of Spring Hill. She was born on May 17, 1925 in Columbia, South Carolina to the late Robert and Violet Coleman Young. She is the wife of the late Oliver Walden, whom she married in October of 1945 and he served 30 years in the United States Air Force and resided at Sewart Air Force Base in Smyrna, Tennessee until it closed in 1971. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Salazar and her husband Paul of Spring Hill, Tennessee; beloved daughter in law, Ann Walden; brother, Robert Young of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren, John Walden and his children Parker and Karli, David Walden and his wife, Mandi and their children, Isabell, Sam and Luke, and Rachel East and her husband Nathan and their children, Drew, Jack and Hudson. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son, Ronald Walden of Lebanon, Tennessee; sisters, Marjorie Hawkins of Orlando, FL and Doris Lowry of South Carolina. Graveside services to celebrate Mrs. Walden will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 5350 NW Broad Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37129.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the excellent care and support by Accent Care Hospice during her brief and sudden illness. They also are thankful for the daily loving care she received by the excellent staff at the Goldton of Spring Hill, as well as previous care delivered by Morning Pointe AL and Lantern of Spring Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Alzheimer’s Association or the charity of your choice.
