Kim was the beloved daughter of the late Russell Kelly and the late Loretta Hoover. She is survived by her devoted husband of more than 45 years, Tim Russell; her loving children, Robin Russell and Allen Russell; and the grandchildren who brought her so much joy: Kordale Russell and girlfriend Sadie, Skyler Russell and wife Jenna, Lucas Russell and girlfriend Annaliese, Kolby Russell, and Larson Russell. She was also eagerly awaiting the arrival of her first great-grandson, Ronan Russell.
She is also survived by her sisters, Tammy Stutts and her husband Jeff, and Shelly Dortch and her husband Dee, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great-nephews, and one great-niece. She also leaves behind her beloved fur babies, who were always close to her heart.
A service to celebrate Kim’s life will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Roselawn Funeral Home with Brian Lee officiating. Visitation will take place Friday from 4:00 p.m. until the service begins at 6:30 p.m.
Kim recently retired after 16 years of dedicated service with the Veterans Administration. Prior to that, she worked for 15 years with HR Block in the Jackson Heights branch in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Outside of work, she found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. She loved spending time in her yard, whether mowing the grass or tending to her flowers. On warm days, you could often find her relaxing by the pool with a good book in hand. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, working puzzles, and taking rides on her 4-wheeler.
Kim was known to many by her CB handle, “Monkey,” and was rarely seen without her favorite flip flops. Above all else, Kim loved her family deeply. Being a wife, mother, and especially a grandmother was the greatest joy of her life, and her grandchildren lovingly called her by her favorite name, “Nana.” Her love, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
