

Nell R. Mayhugh, age 91, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at her home surrounded by her family. She was the daughter of the late Albert Newt and Nellie Earheart Lewis. Mrs. Mayhugh was preceded in death by the love of her life, William Layton Mayhugh, who passed away in 2018. She was also preceded in death by son, Bruce S. Mayhugh and she was the last of eight siblings.
She is survived by daughters, Carole S. Hamilton and her husband Harold, Teresa K. Bankston and her husband James and W. Joy Brady and her husband Lee; son, Tom W. Mayhugh and his wife Joan; her delight has always been her 16 bloodline grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Janice Mayhugh-wife of deceased son Bruce and Marsha Mayhugh; and sisters-in-law, Ann Lewis and Katherine Tompkins.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Mayhugh will be at 1:30pm on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Roselawn Funeral Home with visitation from 12:00noon until the service begins at 1:30pm. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery in Smyrna, Tennessee.
Mrs. Mayhugh was the founder and owner of The Father’s House Home for the Aged in Nolensville/Brentwood. She was very proud to be able to care for those that needed care in their older years. She was a “Total Believer” and it was evident by the way she treated and cared for others.
