Mr. Jett was born in Edgemore, TN, on August 18, 1932, the son of the late Eric Jett and Virginia Hamby Jett. He retired from the United States Air Force. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jett was preceded in death by a son, Gary King.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Johnston Jett; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Sheryl Jett and Andy Jett; two daughters and a son-in-law, Susan Cox and Carol and Bob Kretschmer; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Patsy Singleton and Marietta Sisk.
Graveside and interment services will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at eleven o’clock in the morning, Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests memorial contributions be made to Operation Stand Down 1125 12th Avenue S, Nashville, TN 37203.
