Mr. William Van Mullen

VAN MULLEN, JR., William FrancisAge 43, passed away Monday morning, December 3, 2012 at his home in Smyrna, TN after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was born June 8, 1969 in Manchester, NH. He is survived by his wife, Melanie Sue Turpin Van Mullen; also two daughters, Savannah Noelle and Sierra Nicole Van Mullen. He is survived by his parents, William Francis, Sr. and Doris Van Mullen; a brother, David Matthew (Amy) Van Mullen of Burlington, VT. He is survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and LaDema Turpin; his two brothers-in-law, Michael (Catherine) Turpin and Jon Turpin. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Lucas and Miles Van Mullen, Briley, Reese, Cassie and Jennifer Turpin. He worked at Dell, Inc. as a continuous improvement manager. He graduated from the US Military Academy (West Point). Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday evening, December 6, 2012 at First Church of the Nazarene, 510 Woodland Street, Nashville, TN. Visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. until 6:45 p.m. Graveside services will be Friday morning, 11 a.m., at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Murfreesboro, TN.
