It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Earnhart, who died peacefully at his home on June 1, 2023, at the age of 80, after a courageous battle with ALS. He was surrounded by loved ones throughout his fight who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
John is survived by his wife of 60 years, Diana Earnhart; his two children, Doug Earnhart and Vonda Williamson, his brother Paul Earnhart, along with 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
John’s journey began in 1942 in Ohio, where he was born to Charles and Garnet Earnhart.
From an early age, it was evident that John possessed an innate drive and determination that would shape his remarkable full life.
In pursuit of his dreams, John, and his wife Diana, embarked on a transformative journey that led him to California where he became a renowned figure in the world of Commercial Real Estate. He was a founding Principle of Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate in both Orange, California and Ontario, California. Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate is one the largest privately owned brokerage companies in the United States. Throughout his distinguished career John displayed an unmatched professionalism and integrity. He exceptional leadership helped shape the landscape of the Commercial Real Estate industry, leaving an indelible impact on countless individuals.
John was a devoted family man, loving father, and friend who provided unwavering support and guidance. He was a source of strength and inspiration for his family and friends alike and was always eager to share his knowledge.
Some of the simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to John. Whether it was his evening glass of wine and peanuts, reading the newspaper, or his passion for motorcycles, and cross-country Harley rides with his wife.
John’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of the immeasurable number of people who had the privilege of knowing him. Though we mourn the loss of a remarkable man, we can find solace in knowing that John’s legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. He will be remembered for his lively discussions, love of debate, and his “keep it simple” motto.
We will be honoring John’s life in a family memorial service on Friday, June 30, 2023. A Celebration of Life to include friends and colleagues will be announced in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to ALS Association found at
