Ludek F. Blaha, beloved husband, father, and Papa, passed away peacefully in his home on March 15, 2026 at the age of 74. A man of strong faith, unwavering determination, and deep love for his family, he lived a life rooted in resilience, purpose, and devotion to the Lord and to his family, who were the center of his world.
Born in Czechoslovakia, he and his wife, Dagmar, bravely escaped communism in the late 1970s in pursuit of the American dream, eventually building a life together in California. He dedicated his career to working as a manual machinist and, at home, was a devoted husband, a proud father to his daughters, Karen and Jennifer, and a man who worked tirelessly to provide his family with every opportunity and the best life possible.
He found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments—cheering for the San Jose Sharks, spending time outdoors, learning to play the guitar, going on Disney trips, working out, shooting, and retreating to the cabin for gold panning, laughter, and creating lifelong family memories.
Known for his strength, stubborn spirit, and grit, he faced a 20-year battle with Parkinson’s disease with quiet courage and resilience. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Dagmar; his daughters, Karen and Jennifer; his cherished granddaughters, Jenna and Annalisa; and his family in the Czech Republic and Germany.
He will be missed beyond measure and loved always. Though our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing we will be reunited one day and look forward to him welcoming us home in Heaven—happy, healthy, and at peace. We love you.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
