

A funeral service for Bobby Neil Simpson, 69, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010, at Cason Monk Metcalf, Sunset Chapel, 5400 North St. Nacogdoches, Texas with Pastor Chet Strain and Pastor Cindy Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches, TX.
Mr. Simpson passed away on September 8, 2010, in Houston, Texas. Mr. Simpson was born March 23,1941, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to the late Neil and Mamie Simpson.
Bobby graduated from high school in Nacogdoches and owned and operated Bobby Simpson Insurance Agency for over twenty years. Bobby was also a past president of Pineywoods Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the former regional director of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Texas. He led the choir at Keltys United Methodist Church and volunteered at Christian Information and Service Center, both in Lufkin, Texas. He enjoyed cooking, both inside and outside on his grill, spending time with his large family, watching football, eating out and making those around him laugh. He will be deeply missed by everyone that knew him.
Mr. Simpson is survived by his wife, Bonnie Cruze Simpson, daughters, Vanessa McKeown and husband Cave, Veronica Pearce and husband Seann, granddaughter Sarah Pearce, step daughter, Felicia Cruze and husband Don Griffin, stepsons, Jeff Cruze and his wife Loy, Mark Cruze and his wife Leslie, step grandchildren, Brandy Simms and her husband Todd, Jennifer Hornbuckle and her husband Chris, Kenneth Wilson, Makenzie Flores and her husband Johnny, Rob Cruze, Nicolette Cruze, Ann-Marie Cruze, Rachel Cruze, and step great grandchildren, Nolan Graves, Caleb Graves, Haylee Hornbuckle, Garrett Simms, Sydney Simms, Stella Flores, and brother Jerry Simpson.
Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Sarah Vines Simpson.
Pallbearers will be Hunter Hines, Bill Moreau, Mack Coward, Jeff Cruze, Mark Cruze and Kenneth Wilson.
Honorary pallbearers will include Todd Simms, Chris Hornbuckle, Nolan Graves, Caleb Graves and Garrett Simms.
Memorial donations may be offered to Keltys United Methodist Church, 508 McMullen Street, Lufkin Texas 75904.
