

Mrs. Wade was born Oct. 30, 1916, in Pike County, Arkansas, to parents John Henry Browning and Josey (Wood) Browning and had lived in Woden for over 40 years, where she was a dedicated member of Woden United Pentecostal Church.
“She lived in the world but not of the world.” Her church and family were very important to her as she was a faithful wife, mother, and grandmother. An outstanding cook, she was regarded by family as an expert at preparing wild game, “Daddy would go hunting and Mother would do the cooking.”
Her survivors include her children and their spouses, Willie and Laverne Wade of Diboll, Betty and James Self of Trinity, Dwight and Patsy Wade of Woden, and Dwaine and Roxanna Wade of Huntington; a sister, Elminie Allred of Houston; a brother, Aaron T. Browning of California; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ennis Wade; grandchildren, Alishia Wade Buster and Darrell Wade; and a great-great-grandson, Matthew Wade.
Funeral services are set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Sunset Chapel, located at 5400 North Street in Nacogdoches, with Bro. Barry Rankin, Bro. Richard Gray, and Bro. Carlos Martinez officiating. Interment will follow at McKnight Cemetery near Cushing.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
Pallbearers will be Roy Wade Jr., Justin Wade, Clint Renfro, Nathan Hill, Zac Treadaway, and Kasey Bryan. Honorary pallbearers will be Roy Wade, Bruce Wade, David Hill, Wesley Self, Hunter Reynolds, and Jim Dickey.
