Carrie Belle (Bordelon) Ampe, age 97, formerly of Houston, Texas passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 in Henderson. She was born in Dallas, Texas on October 27, 1925 to parents Louis Bordelon and Mary Alice (Kuntz) Bordelon.
Mrs. Ampe was a teacher who attended University of Texas and Texas A&I in Kingsville. She taught piano, and she loved music and dancing.
Carrie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Neil Klein Ampe; and son, Mark David Ampe.
She is survived by her sons, Cary Michael Pond of Canon City, Colorado and Frank Neil Ampe and wife Marsha of Cushing, Texas.
Carrie will be laid to rest in Chamberlain Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Methodist Children's Home, 1111 Herring Avenue, Waco, Texas 76708 or to the Alzheimer's Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home.
