

Danny was born March 20, 1954, to parents I.W. and Gayle (Thomas) Ferguson. He was a longtime resident of Sabine County and retired from the construction industry. He attended Hemphill High School and was a member of Yellowpine-Macedonia Baptist Church.
Through his career, Danny worked not only across the United States but in many foreign countries as well. He was a hard worker and took pride in providing for his family. No matter what state or country he was working, Danny always took time to call his children every day to check on and encourage them. He was always happy riding his Harley Davidson.
His survivors include his wife, George Ann Ferguson of Pineland; his mother, Gayle Ferguson of Hemphill; daughters, Danielle Wilkerson and husband Trey of Pineland, Michelle Dixson and husband Johnathan of Newton, and Rachel Ferguson of Pineland; step-daughter, Keri An Faught of Lufkin; step-son, Jeffrey Ryan Kinsel of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, I.V. Wilkerson, Adrian Wilkerson, Stephen Thomas, Chris Thomas, Brett Faught, and Chevy Faught; a great-granddaughter, Annabelle Grace Thomas; sisters, Debra Kay Ferguson of Jasper and Kimberly Wieblehouse and husband Randy of Denton; along with Eleazar Carranza and wife Annette of Hemphill.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bro. I.W. Ferguson.
Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013, at Yellowpine-Macedonia Baptist Church in Sabine County with Bro. T.A. Lane and Bro. John W. Hailey officiating. Interment followed at Pine Hill Cemetery, located on FM 2024.
