Debra A Ferguson

Debra Ann Ferguson, age 61, of Nacogdoches, Texas passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021 in Tyler, Texas. Debra was born July 26, 1960 in San Augustine, Texas to parents Albert Ferguson and Doris Jean Foley Dement.

Debra graduated from San Augustine High School in 1978. After high school she went to work for M&S Pharmacy for thirty years. During which time she worked her way up to the retail store manager. She was a lifelong member of Calvary Baptist Church in Nacogdoches. Debra had a servant’s heart always finding ways to serve in the church. She would lead women’s retreats, and had a passion for teaching her four year old Sunday school class. In her free time Debra loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers play and the Kentucky Derby. Her spirit animal was horses for sure specifically her Shetland pony " Booger" and her beloved triple crown winner Secretariat!

Debra was preceded in death by her parents; Doris Foley Dement and Albert Ferguson, stepfather, Ray Dement; brother, James E. Foster Jr; grandparents, Exa and JT Foley, and Reta and James Calvin Ferguson.

Those left to cherish her memory include brother Ricky Foster Sr. of Nacogdoches, TX; sisters, Barbara Prejean and husband Danny of Baton Rouge, LA, and Connie Lorenz and husband Ron of Nacogdoches, TX; nieces and nephews Todd Prejean of Frankston, TX, Matt Prejean of Gonzales, LA, Krista and Jared Heinkelman of Waco, TX, Ricky Jr. and Mallory Foster of Tyler, Texas, Rachel Foster of Copperas Cove, TX, Chase and Haley Foster of Arlington, VA, Krista and Jermy Allen of Conroe, TX, Chelsea and John Paul Rodriques of Nacogdoches, TX, Chandler and Chase Wells of Appleby, TX; and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her.

A memorial service for Debra will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors, 5400 North St, Nacogdoches, Texas 75965.
