Born June 15, 1917, in Nacogdoches County, she was the daughter of the late E.M. and Leila Bell Birdwell and a lifelong area resident. Mrs. DeLoney was a member of First Baptist Church and worked several years as a secretary with her husband, James F. DeLoney, in his law practice.
Her husband James preceded her in death on January 31, 1982.
Her survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, James E. DeLoney and Judy Louise Wilson of Nacogdoches; son, Richard E. DeLoney of Nacogdoches; grandsons, Jason C. DeLoney and Jacob S. DeLoney; a granddaughter, Michelle K. Granger; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at Sunset Memorial Park, Nacogdoches.
