

Gary Frederick Gross was born on October 11, 1952, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, the son of John and Esther Gross. He passed from this life on December 27, 2025, in Nacogdoches County, Texas. He had attained the age of 73 years.
Gary graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, WI, and the family moved to Nacogdoches in the early 1980s. He worked as an electrician for a number of years, doing large commercial installations. Then in 1990 he took on the responsibility of running the family ranch—C.R. Dion Ranch, and an even bigger responsibility of being “Mr. Mom” to his 3 children, as Lisa worked outside of the home. C.R. Dion Ranch specializes in “Longhorn Cattle”.
He was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus of which he holds a 4th Degree. He was a shareholder owner and an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. And his favorite pets are all in his saltwater fish tank! He also enjoyed woodworking of any kind.
Gary is survived by his daughter, Jacqueline Gross-McClung and husband Jimmy of Nacogdoches; son, Jake Gross and wife Susan of Timpson; and son, Jeremy Gross of Nacogdoches; grandson, Greyson Gross of Nacogdoches; brothers, Jack Gross and Robert Gross, both of Kingwood, TX; sister, Jeanne Gross of Manitowoc, WI; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his wife, Lisa Gross and his parents, John and Esther Gross.
A Christian Mass will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Nacogdoches, TX at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2025, in Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. with the Rosary starting at 6:00 P.M. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy McClung, Malcolm Wood, Jeff Rodrigues, Adam Henson, Colton Hardy and Jim Haynes.
Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
