Jack’s wife of 68 years, Jo Ann Robertson Hargis, survives him along with their three children and their families – Karen Hargis Smith and husband Lloyd Smith of Nacogdoches, Kathy Hargis Walker and husband Bill Walker of Lufkin, and Steve Hargis and wife Clarinda Bisceglia, of San Mateo, California. Amongst them survive 6 grandchildren and 14 great grand-children.
He is also survived by one sister, Ester Simmons of Lufkin. Jack was preceded in death by parents Jack and Nan Hargis of Nacogdoches, brother Raymond Hargis of Tyler, and granddaughter, Christie Smith Belaire of Houston.
Jack, a veteran of the Korean War, will be remembered by his long service to NIBCO as it grew and contributed to the Nacogdoches and greater national economy. Remembrances should be in the form of thoughts and prayers for the remaining family members
