Jacob will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his quick wit, and the joy he brought to everyone around him. A natural jokester, he had a gift for making people laugh and could talk his way into, or out of, just about anything. He lived fearlessly, embracing life with a bold spirit and an open heart. Above all, Jacob was deeply family-oriented, a true family man who loved and protected those closest to him. He found happiness in the simple things like cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, riding dirt bikes, and watching his favorite movie, Rush Hour 3. More than anything, he looked forward to one day having children of his own, hoping to carry on the love, strength, and traditions he shared with his family. Though his time here was far too short, Jacob’s laughter, love, and fearless spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, leaving a legacy that will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his father, Richard Britt, Jr.; his mother, Angeline Allen; his brother, Austin Britt and his wife, Paige; his sisters, Ashley Haight and her husband, Dylan, Crystal Murphy and her husband, Johnathan, and Renee Irizarry; his Mema, Kathy Stephens and her husband, Calvin; his Grandaddy, Richard Britt, Sr.; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, twelve nieces and nephews, and many other loving family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mema, Vera Dorette Britt; his Papa, Bill Stanisich; and his great-grandmothers, Vera Brock and Yvonne Newman.
A funeral service is being held at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas on Saturday March 21st at 11:00am with the gravesite service following where Jacob will be laid to rest at Holly Springs Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Jacob’s heart for others, the family requests that donations be made to TBHC Foster Care and Adoption. Contributions can be made online at tbhc.org.
