Jeffery Allen Hightower

Jeffery Allen Hightower, of Nacogdoches, passed away on June 25, 2025, at the age of 61. He was born on August 26, 1963, in Lufkin, Texas, to parents Delwin Hightower and Linda Jean (Ellisor) Hightower.

Mr. Hightower graduated from Central Heights High School and earned his master’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University. He dedicated 32 years to a career in education, 29 of which were spent at Central Heights ISD, where he also served as Technology Director. He was a longtime member and contributor to the Texas Computer Education Association.

In his free time, Jeffery enjoyed working with technology, playing music, and gardening. He deeply cherished his years at Central Heights and was a proud Blue Devil through and through.

He is survived by his parents, Delwin and Linda Hightower; his son, Jacob Hightower, and wife Kristen; his daughter, Bethani Drake, and husband Tanner; his grandson, Tate Scott Drake; and his special friend, Lisa Laird.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Home in Nacogdoches. Graveside services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Berry Cemetery in Lufkin, officiated by Rev. Rusty Ellisor and Bro. Robert Easterling.
