John Terrell Russell

Funeral services for John Terrell Russell, 59, of Nacogdoches, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Cason Monk-Metcalf, Sunset Chapel with Bro. David Brasher officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Mr. Russell passed away September 22, 2010, in Jefferson County, Texas.

Mr. Russell was born October 9, 1950, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Louis Terrell “Terry” Russell and Peggy Ruth Still Russell.

John grew up in Port Arthur, Texas, and attended Lamar University. He later attended The South Texas School of Law in Houston where he received his degree in law and went on to practice law for 20 years. John loved being outdoors fishing and hunting. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Ruth Still Russell.

John is survived by his father, Louis “Terry” Russell of Nacogdoches, Texas, and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be Rick Still, Frank Still, Jim Still, Joe Still, Charlie Still, and Glen Still.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, Friday, September 24, 2010 at Cason Monk-Metcalf.
