Lynda Ann Weatherly

Lynda Ann Weatherly was born on September 10, 1946 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Eula Mae Clark and E.W. (Bill) Sprayberry. She passed from this life on January 11, 2025 at her residence in Lufkin.

Lynda died peacefully with her daughter Amy and her granddaughter Kimberly by her bedside. She was listening “Two Pina Coladas” when she took her last breath. She was always known as a diligent worker and was a loyal Mother to her five children as well as many others. Her sarcasm and witty sense of humor was beyond measure. One of her favorite things was enjoying a good hamburger and a Diet Coke. She looked forward to family gatherings and spent many days enjoying watching her great grandchildren play. She spent the most time with her great grands Neches, Jolie and Daxton. But she loved all ten of them the same. Some of her fondest earlier memories were made on the river in a canoe with her most loyal friend, Jimmy Kendrick. Lynda leaves behind a large family that will forever miss her. Her role as “Mother” was one she never took for granted.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kelly, grandson Eric Glenn, granddaughter Misty Rose, and great granddaughter Adalyna LuAnne.

She is survived by her sons and daughters, Warner & Medina Weatherly, Amy Weatherly & Paul, Kevin & Jodie Weatherly, Kyle Weatherly, and Delia Weatherly. Grandchildren Jennifer & Fredi Bocanegra, Jeffery Rogers & Amber, Kimberly & Larry Pitts, Aaron Weatherly,

Courtney Weatherly & Damion, Kylar Weatherly, Adryan Weatherly, Olivia Weatherly,

Eythyn Moore and Gabe Weatherly. Great grandchildren Sebastian, Sofia, Alex, Fenix, Ledger, Neches, Jolie, AJ, Ayden and Daxton. Her brothers Ray, Wallace and John and their families, as well as many loved ones including longtime friend Jimmie Kendrick.

Funeral services with be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Cason Monk Funeral Home in Nacogdoches, Texas. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and services will begin at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow immediately where she will be laid to rest beside her mother at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Warner Weatherly, Kevin Weatherly, Jeffery Rogers, Aaron Weatherly, Larry Pitts and Neches Pitts. Honorary Pallbearer will be Ryan Wars.
