Pauline L. Petty

Funeral services for Pauline (Polly) Petty, 84 , of Nacogdoches, Texas, will be at 2:00pm, Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Cason Monk-Metcalf Funeral Directors Sunset Chapel, with Duane Petty officiating.

Pauline was born on November 15, 1925, in Shelby County, Texas, to Earnest and Velma Phillips. She married B.W. Petty on September 12, 1942. From 1951, to 1965, they owned two farms in Shady Grove where they raised chickens, turkeys, and cattle. Pauline also enjoyed woodworking where she made wooden toys, trucks, and cars.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, B.W., grandsons; Jay Duncan Petty and Pace Petty, sisters; Magalene Beshea, Velma Bledsoe, Sue Phillips, and brothers; John Phillips and Leon Phillips.

She is survived by her son; Don Petty and wife Peggy of Nacogdoches, Texas, sister; Thelma Phillips of Baytown, Texas, Nephew; Rusty Petty and wife Mary of Arp, Texas, whom she and B.W. raised from childhood, grandchildren; Duane Petty and wife Teresa of Tyler, Texas, Sherri Faires and husband Bubba of Nacogdoches, Texas, Scott Stiles and wife Brandy of Nacogdoches, Texas, and Jason Stiles and wife Misty of McKinney, Texas, great-grandchildren are; Tiffany Petty, Kaylee Petty, Shelby Faires, Amanda Faires, Jaxson Stiles, Jasper Stiles, Addyson Stiles, and Ava Stiles; several nieces and nephews.

Pauline was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Association. She was a Baptist.

Pallbearers will be Bubba Faires, Casey Faires, Scott Stiles, Jason Stiles, Clayton Perkins, Larry Hooper.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Disabled American Veterans Association.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to The Disabled American Veterans Association, Unit 83, Nacogdoches, Texas.

Visitation will be from 1:00pm until 2:00pm prior to her service on Wednesday. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
