When you think of Robert Blanton you think first that he was a simple kind of guy who was hardworking and honest. He had high standards for morals and you always knew where you stood with him. He loved his wife, his family, and especially his grandchildren. He started working for the Port of Houston at an early age as a longshoreman. His hard work allowed him to retire at the early age of 49. He truly enjoyed the simple country way of life, and he retired to Mt. Enterprise. He loved to fish on his pond, drive back roads, support his girls, and sit in his easy chair. His family will miss him and his proud spirit.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Michael Eugene Blanton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Dottie Cross Blanton; son, Michael Joseph Blanton and wife Leann; daughters, Charlotte Perry and husband Marshall, Danielle Montgomery, Dawn Boykin, Tina Blanton Martin and husband Robert; grandchildren, Brandon Blanton, Destiny Harrison, George Perry and wife Liz, Chasity Denny and husband, Curtis,
