Ruby Louise Castleberry

Mrs. Castleberry was born June 1, 1925, in Nacogdoches County to parents Joe Jones and Allie O.V. (Crawford) Jones and had lived in the Nacogdoches area most of her life. She was a faithful member of Eastside United Pentecostal Church.

She was also faithfully dedicated to her family with great love for all. Ruby was an awesome cook and enjoyed preparing food for family, friends, and her church family. Her family will be missing her witty words and phrases. Her pleasure of outdoor work in her yard was driven by her great love of flowers.

Her survivors include her children, Chester Leo Castleberry Jr. and wife Deloris of Nacogdoches, Judy Ann Mason of Woden, and Johnny Lynn Castleberry and wife Angie of Lufkin; son-in-law, Billy Joe Tubbe of Nacogdoches; daughter-in-law, Helen Castleberry of Porter; granddaughters, Brenda Tubbe, Lisa Tubbe, Dana Mears and husband Scott, Jeanna Mason, Redonna Deal, Carla Stokes and husband Eric, and Candi Gill and husband Dave; grandsons, Keith Castleberry and wife Melissa, Cary Castleberry and wife Stephanie, Anthony Mason and wife Mitzie, Jeff Mason, and Shane Castleberry; step-grandsons, Larry Williams of Woden and Steve Williams and wife Laura of Nacogdoches; 24 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Castleberry was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Leo Castleberry Sr., on March 25, 1991; a daughter, Helen Joyce Tubbe, on December 28, 1996; and a son, Jerry Wayne Castleberry, on June 25, 2015.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, at Eastside United Pentecostal Church, located at 3801 E. Center Road in Nacogdoches, with Pastor Ennis Fuller, Rev. Keith Castleberry, Rev. Billy Tubbe officiating. Interment will follow at Saints Rest Cemetery in Nacogdoches County.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at the funeral home and from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Mason, Jeff Mason, Cary Castleberry, Alec Castleberry, Ethan Castleberry, and Steve Williams.
