

Walter Langford, Jr. of Nacogdoches passed away peacefully on April 13, 2020. He was born December 17, 1939 to Walter Langford, Sr. and Ludie Langford. A member of Westside Baptist Church. Rev Jerry Wilson officiating with interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
As a young boy he assisted in tearing down the old school building in Lilbert and used the lumber to help build the first church owned by Westside Baptist Church on Durst Street, moving from a building being on Taylor Avenue. Retired from Texas Farm Products after 40 years, 10 months, and 16 days due to multiple heart attacks.
Walter married Virginia Mozelle “Smith” Langford on June 29, 1968.
Walter is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Langford, Sr. and Ludie Langford, sister Ressa Fae Rice, and brother in-law Glynn Rice.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Langford; brother in-law, Roy Smith and wife Joanne; sister-in-law Wanda Smith; nephews, Terry Rice and wife Nancy, Jerry Rice, Jason Smith, Michael Smith and wife Audra, Eddie Marshall and wife Branda; nieces, Judy Waggoner and husband Rayburn, Evonne Rice, Jessica Meeks and husband Reese, Marty Aparicio and husband Eddie, Shelia Steinsik and husband Scott.
A memorial service to celebrate Walters’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions can be made to Westside Baptist Church.
